So after drinking a few beers and messing with other things in the garage I decided to mount the pulaski thats been taking up space in the back of the XJ.

I also have a shovel i want to mount in a similar fashion. I was thinking of using the spare tire bracket that sticks out from the side of the panel. let me know what you think.

How is the bottom of the blade held in? Just wondering because with all the bumps and jolts we get in jeepin things tend to move around.

As of now there is no mount on the bottom. The axe portion of the pulaski fits perfectly between the wheel well and where the spare tire was resting on. As you can see the grub end supports the tool. I just installed this yesterday so I haven't had a chance to take her over any bumps but with just the single mount its sturdy.

So this is what i've done since the last post. Mounted a shovel, and Hi lift jack. Oh and if you ask about the rope go watch Boondock Saints.

To mount the Hi Lift I used some scrap metal I had laying around. If you know of River Raiders this should look familiar. Going elk hunting the rest of the weekend so we'll see how it holds up.
