This is getting reported. No need for the nasty comments about someone elses hard work and great idea. Please take you terrible opinions elsewhere.

The idea is a good one. If you don't plan on throwing a tire, jack, and a cooler up there you should be ok. PVC is a strong material. I wouldn't go trying to throw a ton of stuff on it, but if all your doing is using it for a tent, chairs, fishing equipment, it serves the purpose. And you guys who always get on here and bash somebody because they "didn't post in the right section" or it not being "advanced fab" need to get a life other than trying to ruin other peoples ideas. Maybe we can come up with another topic thread or whatever you want to call it for home built stuff. Just a whole complete sub-topic. That way you douchebags who constantly patrol the "advanced fab" sub-topic won't have to wine and cry anymore.
I applaud your efforts and keep up the work man! Thats what this is about. Making your rig your own. Some people don't have a welder, or even if they do, don't wanna spent a ton of money on doing something simple like a roof rack. Just remember HATERS GONNA HATE!!! LMFAO

All in all the idea is a great idea, especially for your application. You specified that you weren't going to be carrying much, yet some people decide to bash you anyways. good idea, looks good, obviously it's light weight, and im sure it's gonna work good for your application....so guys...get off him!

Eh, is what it is. Not my rig.
My concern would be more with the longevity of the PVC, as it cracks from extensive heat & sun exposure, which is why you really don't see it exposed to the elements in residential applications. PVC and UV really aren't the best of friends.

And to the guy who was worried about it falling off... emt will go through a windsheild easier than pvc.

Ok the people that are mocking this thread need to stop or else vacations are gonna be handed out since closing it will do nothing.
First and last warning I'm getting tired of getting E Mails about this thread just because some "don't like it" well then move on instead of bashing the thread. It's really not that hard.
