I think the metal cost me around $160 (still have a bunch left over), roll of flux core wire $12, 2 cans primer $10, 2 cans bedliner spray $18.Originally Posted by SatiricalHen
How much did it cost for you to make them?
So roughly $200. I was going to buy some AJs Offroad Armor ones but by the time they added shipping on it was going to cost me $350-360 shipped to my door.
I have a welder so I might as well use it right? I need to get a tube bender though.

You know how this Jeep stuff is? Trial and error! If this is a problem or becomes a problem I will just add some pieces on the open ends angled back into the 2x3 and close off the openings.Originally Posted by xjmarc
Only complaint I have is the way you attached the outter bar. Most you see have the ends attach and not have an open gap. The reason is because you can get caught on things on the trail like small trees and such. I had a set on my yota that were solid front and rear and had a tree pop up through the middle and had to use an ax to get unstuck. Other than that they look nice.
I don't think it will be an issue though.
