Will post rest of pics when they are painted and installed. Hopefully in the next week. I need them finished for the GATRfest at Gulches in October.

I want to make something similar and want to see how yours look once mounted

They are similar to JCR's so you can check out their website and get an idea of what they look like mounted.

I would buy them but I can't afford them so I had to make my own with a few mods.

Primed and test fitting

Here they are primed and test fitted one last time. Also marked and pre-drilled all the holes.

In case anyone was wondering, the sliders do not stick out past the tires. You can see in the one photo here they do not.

Finished, painted and installed

Installed. I used the same hardware and mounting places as JCR. 5 bolts in the pinch seam and 8 bolts in the frame per side. They seem to be mounted pretty solid. They got beat on a little the past weekend and held up just fine.

I used Rustoleum Bedliner paint to paint them. It matches my lower door panels that I painted with bedliner earlier. Plus when you step up on the sliders, you don't have to worry about your feet slipping off. The grip is good.

What front fender flares do you have?

They are just the stock flares. I trimmed the front fenders and moved the flares up.

I like em, they're different. Nice work.

SatiricalHen 10-13-2014 05:31 PM

How much did it cost for you to make them?

Only complaint I have is the way you attached the outter bar. Most you see have the ends attach and not have an open gap. The reason is because you can get caught on things on the trail like small trees and such. I had a set on my yota that were solid front and rear and had a tree pop up through the middle and had to use an ax to get unstuck. Other than that they look nice.

I like them
