Limit straps on the cheap
I have about 35 bucks in my limit straps.. yah they are not fancy.. and I did buy double shear brackets from Barnes4Wd.com. I used 4 grade 8 1x1/2 bolts, and 2 pieces of 16" 1/4 grade 43 chain. Plus a lil grinding and welding stuff. It took under 1.5 hr to do.
I hope this is considered fab.. I did use my welder.. and grinder

I ended up grinding the ends flat so the chain would fit in and bolt up easier.

Yeah.. but I wont be able to hear it over my straight pipe exhaust.. and Its a trail rig only so.. the noise will be ok if they serve their purpose.
PLus limit straps are 22 a piece. and would have taken londer then I had to get.. then it was worth.

my first set of limit straps for the rear were some old seatbelts i had sewn to the right length. worked awesome for over a year till they snapped while beating on it offcamber.

I looked at them.. they were 10 bucks a piece and 8" too long... I ONly needed 16" of chain... per side.

Cool idea! If the noise of the chain gets to loud, throw a small bungee on them and roll on. Being a trail rig only, no need to worry about it. It functions like you want it to, on the cheap so carry on!
Reason this came about is I unseated both coils on a ledge on my last trip causing all kinds of issues and problems getting off of the trail. Being that I had fixed all the damage.. it was time to prevent future issues. Limited budget meant I had to spend money where it was needed. Whish was DOM for steering and a new 9" center section since that got cracked on my last trip.
