welt on some flat pieces and drill holes to mount to the factory mount + use these for good measure..

remember.. cherokee's biggest weakness is the frame being able to twist and flex.. that why people talk about "full frame" vs. "sub-frame or "unibody"

every chance you get.. strengthen the frame.. secure the powes steering box.. extend brackets on bumpers deeper and wider.. also get some rock sliders from the same company.. if you want a long term rig it will be well worth the investment.

many ppl lift and go playing in the rocks and mud.. then sell their truck for the cost of the lift only because that the only way they will get any $ out of it.. then start over and start with making the "frame" as solid as possible..

good luck!

cut out the end of the frame rail so you can sleeve a piece of 2x4 up in there.

Mine is out of 2 pieces of 2.5 x 2.5 tubing. I cut a chunk out of each tube where the receiver goes through and then welded the receiver to the tubing all the way around. Clean up the welds between receiver and tube Lay the second tube on the first and weld them together. Finish welding where the receiver goes through the first tube. Grind and fill the seams for a smooth look.

make sure you catch the outer 8 bolts and the bolt holes inside the frame rails
