It can still be a daily driver. I plan on it with my WJ once it is finished. And I have an 09 Nissan that I'll probably end up selling just because I know I'm gonna want to drive my WJ everywhere. Go for it. You won't regret it especially if its done right. Just make sure make sure you plan it instead of having to use 20 tubes of calking and drywall screws. LOL. I'll have more pics to come on mine in the next couple of days. Forum is called Chop That Top.

Guess I have to wait tor spring and rattlecan in some bedliner or undercoating (which are suprisingly close in resemblance if you get them mixed up, but undercoating is half the price!)

Yeah, I don't think that'd be the answer to your issue. Like I said, I've never had a moisture issue in my Jeep. Granted, it hasn't had carpet in it in 7 years.

Not sure about the areas you guys live in, but I've had atleast 3 vehicles (cars and truck) with no headliner that I drove all year round and never had much of a condensation issue.. Yes the inside would be a little wet, and may drip a couple times in some areas if it collected together, but was never too bad (not like the leaking sunroof in my winterbeater S10 anyways lol).

And just to set your mind at ease, This will be the 3rd xj that we have set on a Scout II frame (see link to youtube). They work. The other two are VERY capable rigs that handle Clayton OK and some of the hardest trails you can think of. There will be a FULL cage before this thing gets wheeled as stated in my build thread if you had read it.

Here is the first of the three in Clayton ok. Watch and learn. lol

Sorry to bring back the thread but Ive got a build thread for all of you drooling chop toppers like me! Its not my jeep but i found this a few years back. Its REALLY in depth and is exactly how i plan to do mine sometime in the late future lol.

http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showt...=353716&page=5
pages 5-7

Dont fear the master fabricators on Pirate4x4 because this can be done by us everyday mechanics with patience.
