so you are saying that you have shoulder belts in the rear? which jeep has them? someone must have added them and if so i would like to see more about these rear belts as id like to add them in my back seats. never really thought about doing that.

well hot damn. i bet there a provisions for these shoulder belts in every XJ. just gonna have to snag some at the junk yard when i get a chance. wonder if any grands have them and would work in the XJ?

i have a bunch of lap belts already actually. all 3 XJs have them already and would like to have some shoulder belts too. but i would also like to set up that 60/40 seat too. once funds and time lets that is.

Oh cause every xj ive been in including mine has the full belts..like shoulder and lap.

wow i just checked i guess mine do have them. i have no idea what i was thinking. but yeah they deffinatly do now that i think about it because everytime i put the seat down i have to mess with them to get them around the latch of the rear seat. man do i feel all sorts of dumb now lol.

yea and if you chop it at the C pillar you loose the top mounting point

thats something i never even thought about either with the whole chopping bit. and i would need to keep three seat belts back there too. no big deal though when time comes ill just put in lap belts.

i have a 5 YO and another little one on the way... i need mine im chopping it this spring though. i found some youth 5 point harnesses if i have to use em lol

My 87 doesn't have shoulder belts in the rear.
Just lap belts.
So if you chop it just find the belts from an older XJ.
