Homemade Shackle Relocation Brackets

So here is my take on shackle relocation.
Here is my angle prior to installation, pretty horrible which gave a stiff ride and not much flex.

I used a piece of 3x3 box tube and some angle iron to create brackets that fit into the stock location and also pinch between the hitch and unibody. These will be welded to the body also at a later date.


Very simple and effective.
Here is my new angle after installation with plenty of adjustment for future mods. Not bad for leftover scrap, 3 hours of work and $3.75 worth of hardware! The ride is great and the flex is massively improoved!

The square tube and the angle are 3/16". Ideally you woukd want 1/4" but considering the stock mount is sheet metal and I happen to have had the othe stuff in my scrap pile id say it will work just fine.
