im making a set of tube doors for my zj and i started by removing my door and taking some measurements (side to side, height, location of latch, etc) and then making a mock up out of pvc pipe.

 

Sounds like a good summer idea but then again I wouldn't want mudd all over the inside of my jeep as it's a daily driver.

 

what do you mean by safari doors ? if your good at fabricating , make a set of tube doors , alot of people use the spare tire carrier off of s10 blazers , there all over junk yards , and make a few brackets off it and weld up some sheet metal and trim it up to fit your door opening and make a half door if thats what you mean by a safari door ?

 

doesnt that defeat the purpose of taking them off?????took mine off last spring alsome..75 mph with no doors alsome

S10 swing tire carrier cut down... picked a pair of them up for free...
i've got a tube bender now so deffinitely gonna make new ones

 

what are ya doin with the old ones?

 

would the s10 tire carriers work on a 2door?

 

if i had to guess, i would say yes, they are pretty long., looks like he cut them down quite a bit
