Looking good, guys. I am working on mine now. A bit lower weight capacity than yours, I think, but I don't plan on putting my spare up there or anything. It's not done yet, I will be attaching it to the stock roof rack that I installed. Hopefully it will be done by the end of the weekend. I'll build a light bar for it later.

i.m.o i like the look of a roof rack with an angled front and a raised light bar that angles to the front of the vehicle. gives if a much more "baja" look to your rig, but i guess it makes tree branches more likely to get involved with your roof lighting.

but an idea for the angle look you set the light behind the angle then put plexiglass or metal mesh infront to keep it from hitting the lights. and put something behind the lights to keep them from geting hit bit the stuff in the rack
I'm eventually going to put some lights behind the plexiglass. Just so I don't have them getting caught up on branches. That's mainly why I chose plexiglass.

I think my light bar will be built elsewhere, I planned to include one in my roof rack, but I may have it stick over the top of the windshield and bolt to the rain gutters.
Edit: Also, my rack is only 4'x4', so it's not forward enough to have the lights sit low on the roof.
