Off topic but just saying Lambo doors on a XJ shouldn't happen you are not thinking it threw do not try to do it homemade not a smart thing. Yes they are cool but think of the hinge breaking then you have that whole door on you not fun good idea and creative thinking but should stay on a Lamborghini.

so there i was... wife nagging me about the yard. so i said ya i'll out work outside. beats staying in here with you. haha just kidding.
the CJ tailgate. the shape of the bends startign looking very usable all of the sudden. and using what i learned from this site i desided to protect an exposed portion of my rig. by no means a skid plate but more of a deflector. whatcha all think?

if you guys would have read the thread he made on how he made them, you would understand. custom brackets and reusing stock socks from I think old xj hatches. either way they're cooler than any of our doors. and not everyone has the money to buy a kit. I know I sure as hell don't, thats why I try my best to make all I can for my xj.don't be haters lol

My favorite mod that I've done, is the Power Inverter W/Outlets in the cargo area. I did a write up over on Naxja awhile back, i'll just post picks with a brief summary above them.
Mounted 1,000 Watt Xantrex power inverter, underneath passenger seat.
Plug a standard 3 prong extension cable into one of the outlets and run it under the carpet towards the rear passenger panel in the cargo area
Measure 3 plug outlet to be used
Cut hole in rear passenger cargo area panel
Plug extension cord into the 3 plug outlet, press outlet into the hole (hole was undercut in order to be a snug fit.)
And there ya have it, 3 outlets in the rear cargo area, and still one available under the passenger seat. I'm thinking about doing another outlet in the dash somewhere. I've ran everything from work lights, to grinders, to drills. I also keep a long 3 outlet extension cord under the rear seat for extended range usage.
