The space saver is for when I'm on the road with a puncher. The full size one is for if I get puncher off road. Called covering my basis.

I know everyone's views are different. But this idea works for ME not for YOU. I am happy with it. It's functional and for me I find it practical. I got it up there with no issues. Didn't even need a ladder.

oh no it hasnt........ have you considered in the event you are involved in a rear end collision that tire will rip off the roof and could become a missle and go thru the window of the vehicle in front of you, and usually children ride in the back. just saying its a possibility and since you have modified the original location of the spare to a rack that is not intended to mount a tire to youre insurance can put the responsibility on you. Will it happen? probably not. can it happen definitly, might want to call youre insurance company and at least ask the question. Im sure you would hate to be responsible for someones death or injury if a "worst case" accident happens not to mention the potential financial responsibilities

oh and by the way threads dont end just because you dont get positive replies
you clearly asked for opinions in the second sentence of youre posting, well thats what you got

Why not just use the full size? Makes a hell of alot more sense than running that useless donut plus lowrange is right, the full size spare will mount in the stock location. I highly doubt you carry so much stuff in the back of your jeep that you couldn't fit the full size spare.

Negative friend, it has not ended. you're going to get positive and negative feedback on almost any thing you post. Its a gimme. Just take it and roll with it, learn from it.

What!?

C'mon man, anyone putting 12 pallets on the roof of a Cherokee and driving it down a public road should have their license taken away. Not to mention the alcohol that was flowing thru your veins. Idiot.

This is the part where you say "I was only driving a mile down the road and then cut thru old man Joe's cow farm. I only hit a couple cows. It's all good."

Ya know what bugs me? The fact that people post their projects on the internet in a forum full of people that tend to be quite opinionated and then get bent when someone says they don't like it. Who'd have thought someone wouldn't like a half assed tire carrier?

Any forum member that says "Great Job!" when it's obviously a horrible idea has no need to be here, IMO.

The OP in this thread made a tire carrier for his roof. Personally, I think it looks terrible and could be done totally different, safer and look way better. It has safety issues but it's obviously not going to explode the second he puts it in gear. A lot of people put tires on the roof and I think they're all bad ideas. The factory cross bars are super flimsy. You can get up on the roof and push the factory cross bar all the way down to the roof with little effort. Use real steel if you must have a tire on the roof.

It's not that difficult.

People like you that get all highschool ***** pissy when someone gives negative feedback are ****ing retarded. Grow up. This is the internet.
