If I had a WJ to try it on I'd try. Are the shifters similar?

That what I'm not sure of. I'll have to check. I know the WJ has the OD button on the shift but I have never used it anyway. Dont care if I can use it. I'll have to do some comparing.

Hmm. Idk. The store I'm getting it from is over an hour away but I'm lucky enough to have a friend going there tomorrow. Once I figure out how I can make it work on my xj I can work on doing it for other vehicles. But the electronics would make it tricky. And I kicked around the idea of a 20mm round for the fwd lever...

Just wrap some 550 cord around it. Cover the handle with some rubber and it would look like the "pivot" steer handle of a M113 APC
