fullsize xj trailer/camper
I have another idea for trailer. Pull motor, tranny, transfer, drive shafts wires.ect reinforce unibody & give it a tongue. Finish the inside to taste & needs.box in bottom of engine compartment for lockable storage(have to get in trailer cab to pull hood release). Long enough to camp out in & hold gear & spare parts for extented road trips ect.

The only thing is watch the tongue weight. if you just throw a Tongue on an XJ body you figure your wheel base is already 110" (center of wheel to center of wheel) now throw on a tongue, so whatever you have past where the front wheel would be (lets say it is a 12" tongue) that is 140"-160" from ball mount to the rear tire.... and there is not much room afterward to counter the tongue weight.

What I would do is take a 4door, chop off the front of it, leaving the B pillar and rear area, build a new front end and then put a lift and tire combo on it that matchs your cherokee as is.
you figure that would give you the same cargo room as if you had the s eats folded down. and you can even make a fat bottom for it as you wont need the gas tank, or DS tunnel

Exactly what I was saying. Be like flat towing but without most the weight from motor/tranny/transfer ect ect. Have to do a little think to actually make a little tongue weight. Like tongue a inch lower than hitch. You could load down the trailer xj with everything needs like spare parts, extra set of tires, camping supplies, & still have room to actually sleep in. And the weight will all be on the trailer xjs suspension & carried by 4 tires instead of a teeter-totter 1/2 xj trailer that to small to even lay down in. Think of it like a grain wagon. You couldn't haul near the volume/weight on a two wheel grain trailer but you put a tire at each corner of that trailer & you can haul way way more of whatever with zero tongue weight issues.
