pull the carpet..then get some sheet metal and (if you are okay at welding) then weld the sheet metal in and if not then you can also drill holes and rivet the sheets in, but i always make sure i put alot of silicon around the edge so it dosent leak.. then get some rubberized undercoat and spray it on the underneath so it dosent rust out again.. goodluck

I'm doing my floors sometime this week. I have some 16 g and my buddy is gonna let me use his welder, which should be plenty strong. I'll take some pictures for everyone and maybe do a writeup if I take enough pics. My drivers side floor is pretty bad and the rest will be a surprise when the interior gets ripped out. It should be fun. Afterwards, I'm undercoating everything and maybe putting the carpet back depending on how loud it is.

What i did was get some galvanized 16g. I cut all the bad out with a grinder then took a wire wheel to the rest of the metal and put por-15 on it. Then riveted down the metal and seamed sealed it nad i now plan to rhino line it in a few weeks. Worked great.

I had to do that this past winter, I got some 1/8" tread plate and replaced the entire passenger and driver side from front to back with it. I was worried about the weight of it but it wasn't too bad. I put a bunch of plug welds on the frame rails, welded it to the forward facing leaf spring mount and welded to my rock sliders(which are in place of my rocker panels) It worked out well I only had one leak!! forgot to put one of the bolts back in for the rear seat belts....easy fix

Good luck!!

found some pictures hope it helps...

That floor looks good.
I wish I would not have bought some already made replacement floor pans.

I did the same thing in the my cargo area! NICE!!!

I got a 4'x7' sheet of the tread plate from the scrap yard for $100, I figure I have probably about $200 into it with suplies and such. Keep your eye out in the scrap yards you can find some hidden treasures...

thanks guys

I did my floors too it would have been much eazyer to find a good floor in a bone yard. It would prob take a few doners but it would save time. And if you know the place you can get it for free.
