So I recently started a roof rack for my Jeep. Its gonna be a full sizeroof rack with 4 lights. I got all the material I need. Got about 80 ft of conduit for around $50. Started to put the bottom piece together got.it tacked up and going to start the top piece Thursday. Hopefully it turn out.

I start piecing the parts together at Lowe's as well yesterday. My total was a lot more than $50 but I got the pre-bend corners since I don't have a EMT bender and the one there was close to $80. Total for all the parts is looking closer to $100-$120 for my build. Are you planning to connect to factory rails or the rain gutters?
Also what dimensions you going with?

I got the pre bent 90* corners as well for about 2 bucks each and each stick of conduit was 10ft at about 7$ a stick. I also got 2 6" lights to start off at about 20$ so I'm about 80$ overall for mine. My demensions are 49" x 65" outside of the conduit

I got a piece of tube tthat didn't quite fit into the conduit and then ground it down to where they fit snugly and then tacked the into place.

Good stuff, I'm going to be making mine sometime this summer, wish I could weld it but I don't have a machine, should be strong enough with all the little screws and stuff though.

I'm planning to use the couplers as well and then see about getting some welds done for added strength. Going to mount to factory rack with Ubolts and then if I run into any issues look into gutter mounts. Got 6 1x10 sticks of EMT yesterday so hopefully begin working on it this weekend.

Sound good, how many crossrails are you going to have? My rails are shot, gutter mounts are my only plausible option, I've been saving up my loose change for a few years now, I can almost afford jcr mounts, and I have about 40 bucks worth of home depot gift cards, id be stoked if I could get this going for no extra cash lol!

Not sure how many cross rails I'm going to have but ill draw up my idea of what I'm thinking. I want to run one piece of flat steel for my mounts....

Like these to attach to
So the basket itself will sit on these
So I will have one piece of flat steel bar not too terribly thick go from one mount accross the roof of the Jeep to the other mount. So In all I'd have 2 of these bars
