Custom shifter cover
Well, seeing how when I got my junk, it didn't have a center console i decided to build one, and shorten my shifter while i was at it..the stock long one just bothered me. so...anyhow, I needed to make a cover for the shifter. Its all 20 guage sheet steel.
started with cutting to size, and laying out the bend marks
then notched for the bends and bent
then bend agin around the form of the sides
then rivited to the sides
then painted and installed

you could get away with just rivits..but this one is tig welded on the seam..then ground smooth and painted...the rivits mainly just held it togeter to get a good bead going. the rivits were more than enough though.

storage and cup holders go in the lower one.
headliner as well
