I guess it's trial and error. I'm not sure. This was the first set i've done and everything went perfect and smooth. No leaks, no balance problems. Some people silicon to help with leaks, I didn't and still did not have any. Including the used wheels I built mine for 205.00. That was a set of five. My new set I paid a 100.00 bucks for the wheels and the beads are in progress. Should be sick when they're done.

How thick were your outer rings and what did you torque them to?
