Default cheap pushbar...

I recently went to the JY and found an old push bar for 15 bucks.

First sanded and painted it
I then used the angle grinder with a cut off wheel to cut the push bar so it would match the bumper shape.
after a few test fitings and grindings to make it fit, I use a hammer to break of the bottom tabs but I eventually just cut off most of the lower section.
I removed all the sharp edges with the grinder and painted it with primer.

It is all set up to be welded (or bolted, not really sure which one I want to do) I just need to fab up some new bumper mounts and relevel it.

here are a few pics from start to finish... let me know what you think.

Thanks, I know it is not much but it gives me somthing to do that won't cost alot of money.

I painted it black and I am planning on bolting it on today. I will upload some picks when it is finished. Next time I get paid, I will pick up some lights and mount thoes inside, I had some mounted to the bumper but I broke one when I took them off so I have to get new ones.

Mesa think it looks nice. JY has a lot of good finds. You got one of them.

I've got a chrome pushbar for an early Bronco that I want to cut down to use with a Detours backbone, but the sizes don't work well.
