hey i have a quick question. I need a gas tank skid bad!! i am going to buy one because i have no fab skillzzz. ok so i have an aftermarket Hitch in the rear. (my xj didnt come with one stock, its a Uhaul brand hitch).
Do i have to remove my hitch to attach the gas tank skid?? im asking this because fishing the bolts thru the unibody was a pain in the ***!!!! can i just take off the nuts and bolt the gas tank skid underneath the hitch? do they use the same mounting points???

Save yourself a lot of Money and get 1 off a Grand Cherokee with the V 8 in a jy I paid 20 dollars for mine and it's been holding up great for about 2 years now and just bolt the skid plate behind your trailer hitch

actually its just the tie rod thats an upgrade, all the rest is about the same with just minimal differences, nothing that actually upgrades the steering
