Hmmm... Isn't it pretty much impossible to use a Hi-lift on the side of your Jeep now?

Quote: Well it looks like i'm buyin some 3'' angle to make some stiffeners

Hmm... Maybe I should just build a cage at the same time, and hell why not make some boatsides while im at it
thats the step i took.

Quote: Aaaand the name of this thread is?? lol I'm very interested. This is amazing.

Are you gonna put a removable step on the boatsides? Cause thats quite a bit higher than the stock opening, plus your jeep is lifted. I'm 6'6" and i have 4.5" and 33's and I have to lift my leg pretty high to to get in with a stock opening.
prolly be something bout 1ton swap. i can get in it fine. little tricky but im gettin it down to a science.

do like i did on my back legs by weldin a bigger plate to the floor above the unibody frame rail. my A and B pillar legs run down to parts of myu boatside and it runs down to the frame where i have added frame stiffeners. hope this helps some

Do you plan on tying yur seats into your cage/boatsides? I know with the oumaount of work you have done it would not be hard to do. I also suggest tying your hranesses into the cage.

You can check my webshots page to see how they are on my rig.

my harnesses are hooked into the cage other then the inner lapbelt. the seats are held in with the factory bolts. im not worried bout that seeing how they are bolted to the so called frame.

that wouldn't be possible with the original rockers also, they would collapse like carton.
Nice build by the way.

Friggin sweet dude looks awesome. And yeah if your rockers are rusted I'd imagine so. So.... 80% of XJ's are screwed lol.
