Default Aluminum front bumper

This is in my build thread but I figured I'd post it here too. Let me start by clarifying that this is for the most part a street bumper. It uses the stock mounting location, so the shackle points won’t be used for any heavy recovery. This bumper is fabricated 100% with aluminum. The main body is 3/16” aluminum, all seams are cut, welded and finished. I have a set if KC Highlights that I’ll be mounting on top of the bar. I’ll let the pics tell the rest, let me know what you think.

Wow, almost a shame to hide those beautiful welds with bedliner. Looks great.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I don't like to brag, Its how I make a living. I own and operate ProFab Northwest LLC, we do custom metal Fabrication and welding. I'll be looking to become a vender on the forum sometime soon. So hit me up if you need any custom metal work. If its metal we do it, steel, stainless, aluminum, titanium, you name it. Also keep an eye on my XJ build for more to come.

My company builds car wash equipment and we weld aluminum all day long. Those are some nice welds. It is way more difficult to weld aluminum rather than steel. Great job!

It's a shame to grind and paint that. Aluminum tube flares would be the *****, I want to see a titanium rear bumper.

I did think about that but decided against it. I will be putting lights in the rear bumper though.

That's where I started, I thought I was good back then... Wrong lol. It can't really be taught, just takes lots and lots of practice. My first job out of high school was building aluminum boats, that's where I really tuned in my skills.
