Most of the material I had sitting around, should be under $200. Time? I'm some what of a perfectionist, so A LOT. If I end up being able to build a few for people, I'm hoping to get it down around 5 hrs

Holy god of TIG welding
Im fairly good with a TIG but damn son u make me feel about 2 inches tall lol. I do find it alot easier to weld aluminum though, maybe thats just me.
I wish I wasnt broke and jobless or I would deffinitley buy one of these from you. Awsome build man.

I'll just try to knock it all out on a saturday. I'm more worried about functionality and strength than perfection. but thanks for the overview I cant wait to try it out.
love the welding, looks fantastic. I will say this must clearly be a glorified brush guard. It will surely fold up on an impact. No to mention your tie ins should really go much further back if you intend to use this for recovery.

Ahhhh that's the comment I've been waiting to hear. I'll address the recovery point concern first; I'm aware of the weak point in the stock mounts. If you read the start of this thread you would know that they're not intended for much recovery. That being said, I have lifted the front end off the ground with those points using an overhead crane to do my front brakes. As for strength, I'm not saying it's the strongest bumper out there, but with all the angular structure built into it I guarantee it's multiple times stronger than the stocker. And if there were a major impact, yes it would tweak, just like any bumper. And that's just what a bumper is supposed to do, after all I could just throw a piece of I beam up there, that surely wouldn't budge... But the uni would. So in the end I'd rather build a new bumper than buy a new car.
Just a thought. You are obviously quite the qualified fabricator so I intend to take nothing away from your capabilities.
