im building an 8.8 truss and welding the axle tubes, and i just thought that when i welded the tubes to the differential could i have burned the clutches inside.

i dont think so. seeing as everyone that swaps an 8.8 has to make their own mounting brackets, it might be a possibility but since people do it all the time, i dont think youll have a problem
