Default 4dr Chop Questions

After seeing the many pictures of chopped 2drs, an idea started churning around in my mind. What if you were to chop a 4dr, but behind the driver doors, then leave the second row doors plumb with the bed. You'd have half doors on the side of the bed to access cargo and what not. Just an idea I wouldn't mind doing myself if I had better fab skills. Lemme know what you think.

be kinda had to get it all to work. the issue with doing a 4 door chop like that is that fact you sit in the jeep with your head near or behind the b piller and the seat is in that same area. be hard to do a bulk head there and have it still look right and work well. plus you need to cage your rig to get integrity back to the structure.

this guy did it, but he welded his doors shut in the back. i dont see a way you can enclose the cab and still have the rear doors functional. your cab would be smaller than his if you did so.

Don't see why not but like said you'd need to cage it. Got a buddy that cut his at the windshield after rolling it, built a cage and it looks pretty cool.

Well, this is just speculation, I don't have anywhere near the skills needed to do something like this. When I do get the skills, and the right tools, you bet I'll try it though!

Yeah, I would, but being my first (and only) vehicle, I can't really just "try it out". Our garage is too small, and too little time. *sigh* Can't wait 'till my rig can just be a project.
