No body roll or anything. it's not a bad ride.
Other than the brakes smoking like crazy it handled the load just fine.
Prolly wasn't safe, though.
<~ had to look at the thread title again and go from there! i own a 2001 f350 crew cab 4x4 8ft bed 7.3ltr and it is truly the most comfortable vehicle i have ever driven--even better with weight--it has had its far share of "issues" but in todays economical climate--and the capability of this vehicle,,it will be a cold day before i part with her!!!

Almost looked like we were doing burners, but the smoke wasn't coming from the rubber.
Someone pulled up to us at a stop light, waved to get my attention (I was sitting passanger), so I rolled down my window.
Other guy: "Hey, did you know your brakes are smoking and on fire?"
Me: "Yeah." And I immediatly rolled the well tinted window back up and we continued on our way.
The crazy look the guy gave me was priceless.
Anyway...
My dream hauler would be a well built F350 with a 7.3l, beautiful trucks.
I've sat in a few, always liked them.

2000 F150 =\= 2011 F150.
Completely different animal.
My dads 2011 f150 can tow a Jeep on a trailer loaded with equipment and camping supplys safely, legally, and comfortably without losing speed on hills and able to stop going down hill.
My buddys 2002 F150 can tow a jeep on a trailer but its not safe, legal or comfortable(since your anus is clenched the entire time), it loses speed on hills, sways like crazy and if you were planning on stopping while going down hill, good luck.
I like the F150s but not the 2 generations prior to the 2008 model revision. Edit: For towing atleast.

Never once did I say what we did was safe or smart.
So...it wasn't safe.
And it sure as hell wasn't smart.
I want to be clear on that. Very clear.
What we did was foolish, and I don't suggest anyone doing what we did.
With that all said, the look on that other driver's face was indeed priceless when I pretty much blew him off.
