I know it's not a pick up. But it's got power. I know it got it's limits but I have not found them yet lol. Btw the truck weighs 9000lbs.

Everyone knows the V10 is bad, I'd like to know why you bought the V10 knowing that. lol

And anything any bigger than an XJ is bad offroad so I'm not sure what you expected lol.

Its not an offroad vehicle, its a tow vehicle basically.

I didn't buy them, boss did. We all warned him they were junk, but they have held up better than the 2 6.0 diesels we had.
With what I do for a living , an XJ is not going to work. My work truck has to go where the drill goes and that's offroad, mainly woods and farm fields.

Yeah, technically they aren't offroad vehicles. But you'd think they could do a bit better when you need to get the job done.

The 7.3 is a good engine but if I had a choice I would go with a cummins or duramax.

It would be nice if I could get the Cummins in a F250. I like the cummins, the problem is everything else on those trucks. lol

Everyone I know with a Dodge Ram has nothing but problems electrically, rust and a few other problems.

I don't know the model years so its possible everyone i know with one bought at the beginning of product cycles and that could explain the problems they have that you and/or others didnt.

Its like any other vehicle out there, when they first come out its riddled with problems that need to be ironed out.

My main concern is how many times I've seen Chrysler say "Tough luck" when something should be warrantied. But thats another topic all together.

I like the F150, I don't see any reason to go to a bigger vehicle unless you're towing TWO jeeps.

x2 on Dodge having trans issues. I've heard and seen quite a bit more than just "normal wear and tear" causing issues with them.

look up stancor relay mod. I put one in my powerstroke. They last forever and are only about $40

Not to add fuel to the fire.. but x2 on Dodge trannys. My pop has an 08 2500 w/the cummins and the trans had to be replaced after 20k. Then a major repair on the new one at 40k. I like Alison Transmissions, and I like that GM uses em. However, I;m still a ford guy
