super duty
how does she handle with towing? whatever i get is going to be hauling tandem trailers...
And anything any bigger than an XJ is bad offroad so I'm not sure what you expected lol.
Its not an offroad vehicle, its a tow vehicle basically.

I didn't buy them, boss did. We all warned him they were junk, but they have held up better than the 2 6.0 diesels we had.
With what I do for a living , an XJ is not going to work. My work truck has to go where the drill goes and that's offroad, mainly woods and farm fields.
Yeah, technically they aren't offroad vehicles. But you'd think they could do a bit better when you need to get the job done.

I don't know the model years so its possible everyone i know with one bought at the beginning of product cycles and that could explain the problems they have that you and/or others didnt.
Its like any other vehicle out there, when they first come out its riddled with problems that need to be ironed out.
My main concern is how many times I've seen Chrysler say "Tough luck" when something should be warrantied. But thats another topic all together.
I like the F150, I don't see any reason to go to a bigger vehicle unless you're towing TWO jeeps.

the v10 has as much power a lil less but as much as the 7.3 but not as much torque plus it eats gas. the 2000 plus 7.3 has a glow plug relay that needs to be replaced every 2 years its maintence on it otherwise some of them wont start plus they have whats called a huei injection system (hydraulic electric unit injector) which uses the motor oil to fire the injector so if your low on oil or pressure the dont run worth a crap and also the injectors on the 98 to but 00 are garbage. the 6.0 has its set of problems mainly because they put a bunch of sensors on for emissions and stock is the only way to keep the problems away they will still happen being the first of the model engine the 6.4 horrible on mileage and they put a variable geometry turbo that means the turbo veins can change pitch depending on load of the engine and the reason those go bad is because they absolutly hate idling the 6.7 i hear is an incredible engine being new i dont know alot about it yet other than the turbo is in the valley shorter tubes faster spool and the urethra will go 30000 miles before fill up on a stock truck

Not to add fuel to the fire.. but x2 on Dodge trannys. My pop has an 08 2500 w/the cummins and the trans had to be replaced after 20k. Then a major repair on the new one at 40k. I like Alison Transmissions, and I like that GM uses em. However, I;m still a ford guy
