I beg to differ. my 78 dodge shifted fine the day I drove it home after it had been sitting in a barn for 9 years. The 727 Torque Flight is one of the best 3-speed auto's made. early to late 90's dodges had tranny problems yes and aparently you've never herd of a power wagon? To each his own I suppose but im just saying theres no way there junk off-road and not all of them have bad transmissions.

But back to topic, Ford actually had a tonka truck concept. But if you had to do with a superduty get something with a turbo charged 7.3. Ive herd nothing but good things about them.

I would have to agree, if you're going to get the ridiculously massive F250 you might aswell get the diesel at that point. Its like getting your wife Chanel but instead of getting the good one you get her the "Toilet water"(I swear to god thats what its called, except its french so its Eau du toilet)

If you're spending that much and you're willing to drive that beast you might aswell get the extra power, reliability and RELATIVELY good mileage of the 7.3L Power stroke.

due to hmm probably neglect but every brand has problems the only reason you pick a side is you dont like it or you seen or experienced one problem that any brand would have given the situation

Had lots of problems with my new 2005. Fuel injectors failed causing motor to blow up in driveway, 2 transmissions, 2 steering dampeners, 1 steering column. Never could get the death wobble out of steering going 60+mph. Transfer case locked up in 2wd and could not engage 4wd, Ford got it to go into 4wd but had to engage in reverse only. I was getting 14mpg but had no power. Couldn't tow our camper up hills so Ford reprogrammed it and it worked OK but then I got 9mpg and still not a lot of power. After 2 years of owning that piece of ***t I will not own another Ford again. It was my first and last. GMC all the way.

I use this 7.3 wrecker and it's one of the torqueses trucks I drive. 98 F350SD
I like the idle up controls.
I know it's not a pick up. But it's got power. I know it got it's limits but I have not found them yet lol. Btw the truck weighs 9000lbs.

I have a 7.3 Diesel in my Super Duty. I like it, and the Gas mileage is Much better. My older one had the V10 and i liked that too but the mpg's was a killer. I like the diesel much better I Lovvvve F-150's. I just bought a new King Ranch a few months ago. I posted pics of both.

Something to think about if it is in you budget. The new f150's now have the option of the same twin turbo v6 as the SHO's. V6 mileage 365hp 420lb-ft 90% available between 1700-5000 peaks at 2500. 2860 payload and 11300 towing. Had to look up the specks in my Petersen's 4-wheel and off- road. I for one am impressed.

We have an 04 Superduty F350 dually and an 05 Superduty F350 dually at work. Both are the V10 6speed 4X4. They're pathetic, no power, super worthless offroad and just plain Butt ugly. 7 MPG sucks also. Rather had a real truck, Like a Dodge or a GMC
