Other way around I absolutely hated, hated with a passions still to this day Manual Locking Hubs! If they are not perfect they will get stuck and you can't turn them untill you back up. Also mud ,dirt and rocks get in there. They way it goes anyone born before the 1990's everyone loves them anyone born after hates them. I will replace the cad/solenoid until unit as many times as I break it. The guy who bought mine that was one the reasons he bought it auto hubs. Also only Eddie Bower Bronco's are the only ones I have ever seen with push button 4x4. I have used the 4x4 button, there not bad you just have to wait for the button to stop blinking. When there working it's nice just push and wait but when there not it's a pain. Also forgot to add my Bronco had the optional 33 gallon tank. I averaged about 16-18 MPG only mods that were done are 31" All Terrains removed muffler. Only part that rotted out, I left the resonator on, put tailpipe on I was still little to loud for my but everyone else liked it. I removed the vacuum canister and previews owner removed the EGR with EGR delete kit.
Haha thats crazy! I was born in 89 and hated the auto lockouts! Where did you find that out? I converted it over to the mile marker manuals because the auto hub bearings blew up and fried my spindle shaft and my wheel bearings (I replaced the bearings like 3 or 4 times before I relized it was the hubs)! It costed me about $500 to replace the hubs, shafts, and wheel bearings but it was worth it! I dont have any wheel bearing problems anymore!

Heres mine, but I don't drive it anymore....
460, Weiand Stealth Intake, Cam from 70' 460, Headers, Holley 650, C6 Automatic, and Locker in the rear.
Fuel Mileage ran about 10, so its hard to justify running it when my XJ gets 22 to 25mpg.

I like my Carb motors or early ego motors and manual hubs . And yes I was born in the 70's . But I know more about older cars and trucks than most people my age . I guess that's what happens when your dad tells you at age 12 yours going to learn how to work on cars. By the time I was 18 I was building motors on my own . Got a job as a tech with a Ford shop right out of high school . Than made the biggest mistake I could have made and went into construction.

I love the first gen and second gen broncos, my dad had a 79' bronco with a 400 and 35s, it was sick, how do you like the 4 door broncos that were made by Centurion

Lol I found that out because the older generation I know that helps me kept trying to get me to convert to warn manual. My generation wants nothing to do with that lol. It is the same thing with distributors I grew up on coil-pack, cassette ignition coils, and electronic distributors I want nothing to do with old turn style distributor. That's one of the reasons I wanted a 00-01. It's what you grow up on, my friends dad always complains about how carbureted was the best ill take TPI/EFI anyday. I love my OBDII.
When I work on a newer car I feel like if I accidently bump a sensor or take off the wrong thing to gain access to something it will make the car never run again until it gets to see a shop that has the diag software... Dont get me wrong I know how to work on those cars and enjoy driving/owning them but sometimes a simple 2 hour project turns into a 6 to 8 hour project on these newer vehicles.
But hey I guess its just a matter of prefrence.

I like OBII too! Makes things alot easier when your searching for an issue. But at the same time I like the old stuff cause you can customize it way more!! And its much easier to work on and diagnose.

You could probably find a good deal on one cause gas prices are not so full size V8 friendly...
not here. The beaters at around +/-1200 and the nice ones are 3000 +/- .
Have a 69 bronco now and a 94 zj 5 spd. The early broncos turn heads like crazy but unless you have a bunch of money to throw either in the tank or into a trans swap they're really not pratical 10 mpg plus the 3 spd sucks for wheeling. Lot of trans swaps available if you have the money. The jeeps just more practical not cool and not crazy about the unibody design but the 6 runs forever and I have overdrive fuel injection and 17 mpg. I also would take the 6 any day of the week over the stock 302 just better low end torque for 4 low lugs like a tractor lower geared transfer case also. Im thinkin about a 300 six swap in my bronco and a zf 5spd swap that would be a nice setup.
