No, it is nowhere near a misfire.
Like I said, went around a hard corner, rpms flew up, lost all momentum. Then...wham, trans slapped back into gear...
Not a misfire. No way in hell.
Dipstick is also on the PASSENGER side, right by the firewall. Seemed full when I checked it. Got a full flush and filter replacement scheduled for Saturday.

Ok, it really sounds like a low fluid level concern or at least a loss of hydraulic pressure from fluid slosh. If the fluid level is fine then maybe the filter has come loose and its sucking some air.
Also if you are used to AW4's the fluid level check is different. You need to check this one with the trans in Neutral, it makes a difference.

It does in randomly...ish. I was beating on it a bit last night, nothing. But earlier in the day it 'slipped' a bit.
Something is def wrong, and I'm pretty sure its suppose to be flushed around now anyway.
I also didnt check it in neutral, it was in park but running.

That is what you get for buying a Wrongler ! LOL
Sounds like stuck valve or dirty valve body.
Flush and change filter.
Or above plus rull and clean valve body.

Got it 'flushed' which meant the guy pulled the pan and adjusted the bands after swapping in a new filter. Seems to be much better, but I still need to find an auto XJ to get the AW4. Its just a better transmission.
