Hey guys my cousin just got a 89 chevy 1500. When he puts it into gear it dies on him. I have played around with the TB chevys but I dont know what it could be. Any one got any ideas. Its a 350 with 700R4 tranny. Any help would be nice.

But if you give it a little gas when you put it in gear it stays running just fine. Its only when your at a idle in gear that it happens. It still drives fine through all the rpms just shifting at idle.
idk about the new chevy motors but when my 350 in my '69 elky was givin me problems like that it turned out to be a vacum leak. it was doin the same thing like i couldnt sit a stop lights in gear i had to shift up into neutral
