Wow, they did a great job following your drawing..

 

that is a bad *** bumper

 

I was working with two fabricators while I was doing the design, ultimately I went with Detours (I have their slimline bumper). There have been a few design changes but overall the bumper is very true to the original drawing. I should say drawing and not design since I didn't draft it. Detours just took the detailed drawing and made it fit reality, and did so beautifully. But looking at the construction and quality of their rear bumper it is easy to understand why.

I agree with you 100%. Can't wait to get it. Maybe another week now. Detours is working on the front hoops.

that does look really nice. looks very similar to a hanson bumper exept for the diamond plate. me likey

 

There were 3 bumpers I really liked "parts" of.

I took the aspects I liked the most from all 3 to come up with this. Thankfully it didn't come out looking like Frankenstein.

Thanks! I called Detours today to get an update. He was planning on taking it off the jig and finishing it up. A few supports and then sand blast and paint.

Hopefully I'll be able to touch it next week.

It has turned out better than I originally drew it.

 

Just wondering if you don't mind sharing, How far that thing set you back? $$ wise..

 

I'm getting a special deal as a repeat customer so I'll tell you want I was told the true cost would be. $900 to $1200.

 

Sounds about on pare to most other bumpers like it. Not to bad..

 

It's funny how many people say the like the bumper, but they would LOVE it without the diamond plate. lol
