ok so ive searched and searched and got some answers but not all.
i just picked up axle shafts from an xj with no abs. Now my zj has abs. if i just swap in the shafts without the abs tone rings what will happen? the abs light will be on and be disabled? should i just swap em in and forget about it or should i put them in and pull the abs fuse.
let me know
thanks in advance

When I did it on my ZJ I had to pull the fuses and relays or else the front brakes would pulse once I hit about 35 mph. The later model XJ shafts that have ABS use bigger u-joints and are a bit stronger than the ones you got and work with your ABS.

Then pull the relays and fuses and the annoying bulb in the dash. Or you can do what I did in my XJ and pull the entire ABS pump assembly and master cylinder out and replace it with a non ABS one.
