While driving transmission seemed to randomly drop a gear. Will then drive without first gear....possibly "limp mode"....cel light turns on and code p0700 comes up....started few hrs later drove and shifted fine through all gears....approxomatly 5-7 trips later cel light goes off.....same thing happened again about 3 months later...took to shop to pull sub-codes for tranny....p1732-pressure switch sensor failure or TCM failure...took back to shop that installed new tranny about 1yr ago/ 6-8k miles ago and they are telling me its a solenoid malfunction. Is the pressure switch the same as the solenoid?

A pressure sensor senses pressure. A solenoid opens or closed a fluid line. Different functions.
