Default WJ lift?

My girlfriend's dad after getting green with envy of my lifted XJ, he says he want to lift his 02 WJ.

He said he don't want to spend a thousand or whatever on lift kits. It got me thinking. Is there any "junkyard lift" with parts obtained from the junkyard? Highest I think he want to to is probably 2-3 inches or something.

Any info would be helpful

RE makes a 2" budget boost with spacers and shocks for about $350. Could also just piece it together with spacers and new shocks.

Spacer lift is the way to go on the cheap. I don't think pops would want a junkyard lift.

I don't know anything about WJs. Are they coils all around? If lifted two inches with spacers, would track bar need to be replaced too?

I've been contemplating a 2" lift on my WJ. I got looking under it and noticed what appears to be a rubber cushion or socket on the upper end of the spring. Does this become a problem when installing spacers? If I do this, I want to do it right the first time. I don't want a cascade of problems because I screwed with it.
