I recently picked up a 2000 WJ 2wd and it runs great. However, the suspension is all bad. I am a jeep noob and am looking for something that will be daily driver and semi off road worthy. Think like small off trail campsites and things of that nature.
Anyways I'm looking at doing the bilstein HD shocks and some better tires. Are they any other things I need to worry about upgrading or should I just replace the rest of the suspension with oem bushings etc. Also, what tires would you recommend. I'm located in Florida and it will see more road than off road.

If you're asking what I would do with it, I'd replace the front hub bearings, ball joints, and tierod ends to make sure the steering is tight and not cause any problems down the road, like death wobble or abnormal tire wear. The control arm bushings should be replaced if they are worn or splitting and make sure the track bar is solid. That includes the rear bushings as well. Make sure the brakes are good and the brake hoses are not cracked. Do a complete fluid change on the transmission and rear diff.
For tires I recommend BFG Rugged Terrain A/Ts or Cooper Discoverer AT3s. They are good all-weather tires, quiet on the road, and give good traction off-road and in the wet.
JMHO, however.

Thanks for the opinion! I appreciate it. What is a decent brand to source the parts from? I don't want super cheap, or crazy expensive. But something in between.

AGAIN, just my opinion, but got to rockauto.com for parts. In 27 orders, I've never received a bad or wrong part and they give you options of brands and prices. There is a little heart next to the parts that are popular and an "info" box so you can view specs of each parts. Prices are reasonable, but you have to pay shipping and they give you options there as well.
I always buy Timken for bearings and Moog for joints. I just replaced all 4 shocks with Monroe Sensatrac and am totally happy with the ride. I do a lot of bumpy dirt roads when I play and they are great for that too. I choose these manufacturers because they are old American brands and even though some of their parts are made overseas, they are good quality.
