Question WJ newb question

Hi guys;

I haven't introduced myself anywhere on CF yet, but some of you may recognize my username from some other Jeep forums. If you do recognize it, you already know that I have specialized in a few YJ and 6 TJ builds for myself (and a few JK builds for friends).

Having said that, if you didn't know, now you do.

Anyways, on with my question. Within the past couple years, I've stumbled upon great deals on a few ZJ's and now a 1999 GC Ltd. WJ. This WJ will be the first GC build I've done. Needless to say, it's a COMPLETELY different beast than a Wrangler and I'm having a tough time with a decision. Enter Cherokeeforum members:

I'm installing a Clayton 6" long arm lift, doing a 242 swap, hack & tap, maybe new drive shafts if needed. Either way, my question boils down to wheels. I plan on running 33x12.5x15 Goodyear MT/R's on ProComp soft 8's. Black. I'm getting the 8" wheel but I would like to hear your ideas about back-spacing. What do you recommend for a 33x12.5 tire?

Thanks all. And yes, there will be a build thread to come.

Edit: I might as well make this a double whammy thread with two questions...I have those terrible '99 brakes, so also doing a brake upgrade. I'd like EBC Yellows (I've run them before) but rotors??? What do you guys recommend?

People tell me there are 15" wheels that will fit a WJ, but from what I know, there is a brake caliper clearance problem. My WJ came with 16" wheels.

Some do, some don't. If I do, i'll grind the top of the knuckles.

From what I have seen, there have been a few WJ owners that have used those wheels but had to have the 3.75 backspacing and they should clear with no mods.
