Hi again all - on my car, the outer side and the side bolster of thedriver's side seat have collapsed. Pretty uncomfortable on a trip as one sitson an angle!! Must have been a big dude who used to own it? Is this 'collapse'a common issue? Can one purchase just the seat base new does anyone know?? It'sgrey velour.
Regards

Yeah, my 2000 WJ shows signs of wear on the outside bolster from getting in and out of the car. I go about 260.

I wondered about using the seats from a ZJ to replace the ones in the WJ. I also miss in "dead petal" in my ZJ, you know, the one that you put your left foot on to keep you in your seat when off-roading. It also helps relieve your fatigue on long trips by keeping your hips straight.
My WJ is the base model so I don't have power seats. Were there any ZJs made without power seats or should I be looking for an XJ? Mine are the standard grey velour so they shouldn't be hard to find.
Hey. Ray! welcome to CF. It's good to have an international flavor to this forum. I was posting with a guy in February about a "cold starting problem" which went nowhere until I noticed his profile. He was in Hawaii! His idea of "cold" and mine were totally opposite.
