I have done some research on getting the windows working on my 93 GC and have found that the big black wire in the drivers door is broken. When i hold it together though only the passenger side windows go up and down. The drivers side front will not do either and the driver side rear will go down sometimes but not back up. This is all while holding the broken black wire together. Is there some other trick that i am not aware of? Or something else to check?

 

check the rest of the wires in the door jam. more then likely there are more broken wires. I had that exact same issue in both my 93 and 04.

 

How do i get the plug off of the door side of that harness? I got the clips off and the round plastic peice which i am guessing is some kind of retainer... but i still cant get it to unplug from the door.
