I am new to this forum and am picking up a 2000 wj 4.0L next week. I was wondering what the best tuner for this rig would be? I am looking for mpg gains/ a little power increase and be able to adjust for larger tires! Any info would be helpful. Thanks

Really? Don't expect very much of an increase in mpg or power with mods to a 4.0. It's a reliable workhorse engine the way it is. If you want power, start with a 5.2 or 5.9. Likewise, the 4.7 is fragile.

I agree dave. Unless your going all out with forged internals, cam it, forced induction, upgrade ignition, injectors, exaust or even nitrous (de pending on the shot type will destoy parts if done incorrectly). lol short of all that its kind of a waste to chip it. Especially since they arent the most tuner friendly systems. I would start with hardware before software. And to account for taller tires you would most likely have to regear. And just so you know taller tires plus better gas milage equals not going to happen, especially if you dont reagear
