Default Weird leak

Hello all...2004 4.7....I've noticed a leak coming from my rear drivers side quarter panel...what is the reservoir and tube under the gas tank filler next? It seems like it's clear fluid but it's definitely not gas or brake fluid. Any help would be appreciated...thanks

Axle seals then. When a axle seal blows it can sling oil every where when driving. That is the only thing thicker than oil back there

The only thing I can think of is a reservoir for automatic load leveling shocks.

Ivet been waiting for a response from you....i dont believe it has load leveling shocks...i was pretty busy today so i didnt have a chance to crawl under it and inspect it more...hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to look at it more closely....I'm pretty sure its what XJ STRYKER said about the axle seals...that makes the most sense but i still need to know what the reservoir and tube are for...maybe a gas tank overflow of some sort?????? I'll keep everyone posted

If it's a seal, it should be slung all over the inside of the tire.

No, the axle vent tube just ends with an open end on a bracket on the frame, if it has one at all. My ZJ had one, my WJ doesn't. That in itself is interesting because my front axle does.
