Weird alarm trip.
I just had a weird thing happen with my 2000 WJ. I was out driving tonight and the temp was 6* outside. I pulled into my driveway and shut it down. The alarm went off, flashing the headlights, turn signals, and horn. I started it back up and it ran fine, but the alarm was still sounding and flashing the lights, which means the immobilizer wasn't set. I went into the garage to get a wrench to disconnect the battery, but the alarm stopped before I got back to it. I turned it on and off with the key fob, but it didn't trip again. I left well enough alone for tonight because I didn't want to wake up the entire neighborhood AGAIN. It was 1 am. I think it was temperature related. This is the coldest it's been this year. Any ideas what to look for when I check it out?

Funny. It didn't happen again after driving for 3 hours last night with the same 6* temp. Weird.

I think you nailed it Busted. I opened the hood and then went into my garage to get a wrench and it shut off before I got back. I never thought about that. Thanks, guy!
