Default Wading/ waterproofing

Grand wj 4.7 2002 overland 4'' lift. Have a snorkel kit ready to fit, going to exten the axle breathers. Anything else that I need to change/ extend/ waterproof for the wj to run well at wading depth?

YES the transmission breather is nothing but a hole behind the transfercase - it is fine for a quick crossing but if you stop you will be screwed.

You need to drop the transmission, tap the hole behind the torque converter and PLUG IT, and then drill a hole at the top of the trans and tap it and add a brass fitting so you can attach a hose to it.

I tried tapping the hole behind the torque converter and adding a fitting because I read a dodge forum post that it worked for someone, but the torque converter hit the fitting when I tried it. I know it sounds like a pain but burning out your transmission after taking water is WORSE !!!!

Here is a link with more info.
