valve chatter

is there any way to adjust the valves in 94, 4.0, 6cyl. to quite them down some

No. But maybe seafoam or something could help?

Use a quart of Marvel Mystery oil in the winter oil change. If the lifters are gummed up, they should quiet in 200 miles or so.
