Purchased ’95 Cherokee 4.0 and found a small rubber vacuum line disconnected in engine bay running between the firewall and back of the valve cover. Cannot for the life of me find where it was ever plugged in. Traced it backwards into a metal line running along the frame rail on driver side toward the gas tank. At the tank it goes into a “T” connection possibly to roll over valves. Can someone tell me what the line connects to in the engine bay? Cannot see anywhere it would have connected to the charcoal canister.
I thought I found a port on the canister where it fit but that port appears to have been blocked off at the factory.
charcoal canister.
****I found location where hose had been unplugged. Goes to charcoal canister. Was hidden behind heater hoses as they enter the firewall. 🙄
