Transmission problems
well i will explain it the best way I can I have 03 Grand Cherokee and I needed a motor so I swapped it out with a 99 both 4.0 well my transmission would make noise on first start up in reverse so I figured I would change it to the transmission too but its a 2 wd i changed the tail shaft so I could put the transfer case back on now my jeep won`t start unless i jump the starter and I can`t shift the transmission can someone give me some input plz

It sounds like your problem is in the shifter, shift cable, and neutral safety switch. You seem to know enough about the transmission to change the tail shaft, so I'm assuming the problem is just the shifter and cable. The NSS is in the side of the transmission. Did you connect it?
