Default Transmission control sensor (output)

So the diagnostic scanner puller the code for this. Can someone tell me where this sensor is located? Is there an input sensor as well?
Schematic would help me tremendously.

It's right there above the muffler, it senses the bearings and the smog valve. Input sensor would be on the seat and it watch out for the deadly methane gases emitting fro the seat.

Sensor or solenoid? The trans control solenoid is located inside the trans pan. I'm pretty sure the terms can be used interchangeably. One end of the solenoid is connected to the valve body, a middle part is mounted on the side of, and the third is plugged into a few different components towards the front of the pan.

If you are taking about your 2000 Grand Cherokee, you'll be better served if you post your question on a GC forum.

Cheers.

it doesn't really matter, I don't think. The 42RE is what it is, besides there are plenty of GC's on here

What matters is that the OP hasn't given any clarification and we're trying to figure this out based on little to no info......

this I agree with. But after scrounging the JY for all sorts of these parts around and near the TCS I'm pretty comfortable with them. But some info would be great

I am sorry. I meant to put that it is a 2000 grand cherokee Laredo 4wd.

So it is pinging the output sensor. Is it located almost to the driveshaft?
