Default trailer wiring question

Alright. so I've done some research and I have a 94 zj v8 that came with a tow package but I got the jeep there was no hitch (added that) and no visible wiring. did have a little damage so I'm not sure if it just got taken off when it got fixed before I bought it. I have the t-one connector from hidden hitch and just confirm what I think the harness I need to access is behind the rear passenger panel in the wheel well correct? Its just the flat four connector since my brother has a Cummins if I need to tow anything heavy

I think you are right on your 94. My 97 had the module behind the spare tire mount panel on the driver's side.

the t one harness uses the connectors on each side. it plugs inline with the factory tail light wiring. i had one, but it fried itself. im using a factory 7 way harness from the junkyard now.

I figured it out. I ordered the wrong one but I just ordered the correct one from online. the t connectors were square on the one I originally got and I need the connectors that are oval. So now I have a spare harness that's useless for me lol it says right on the harness box i orginally got its for a 1994-1998 but that's obviously not true. pretty sure its really for a 95-98

I think they changed the connectors somewhere mid-94

Mid year changes are not new. My dad had a 63 Mercury and anytime he needed parts, he had to take the VIN number with him because Ford made 7 MAJOR CHANGES in that year!

That's true. now that I think about it when I searched Google it brought me to a website and then it said some early 94s may need this part with a link that brought me to the correct one. Anyway thanks for the help. I have it half installed so far. the lovely rainy new england weather stopped me from Finishing today

When I lived in RI, they had a saying, "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute!" Here in upstate NY, It can rain on one side of the street and be dry on the other. I really miss sailing Narraganset Bay. We used to go "frostbiting". That's where when you come about, a sheet of ice flies off the sail!

Where in New England are you from? I mean where in CT? I've done some sailing in Mystic.

That's for sure haha I'm from Waterbury. So western CT. That frostbiting thing sounds about as crazy standing on the frozen lakes of NY to watch my cousins ice race lol

Ice racing is the closest I can come to real sailing up here unless I want to sail a catamaran. The lakes are too shallow for a keel boat. Daggers are okay, but you have to watch the bottom. I'm getting too old for ice racing now. Too damn cold! I aint young anymore!
