Hey everyone, I have a 2001 WJ with 2.5 in of lift. Id like to keep the stock rims and I know I can go a little taller but Id like to know the max width I can get on there. I have found some 32x9.3 and some 32x10. Id also like to avoid any chopping. This is a pic of my rim. Its 16x7. Id appreciate any input and thank you very much.
With a 2 1/2" lift you're going to be a little tight trying to run 32" tires. Before I put on my 4" lift on my 96 ZJ I had the 2" spring spacer lift and would rub 29" 255-70R16's. I'm running 32" 265-75R16's on my stock rims with a 4" lift and had to add wheel spacers to prevent rubbing. 70 or 75 series tires fit good on stock rims.
I'm running 245/70R16's on my stock height 2000 WJ on Timberline wheels (stock). They are 29.5" and just about fill the wheelwells. The only time they have rubbed was going down a steep driveway with a sharp turn at the street and they rubbed the lower control arms on the bounce. They are about 9.625" wide and I think they are about the max that's comfortable without a lift. I just put 8" Black Rock wheels on it with a 4.5" backspacing and they seem to be perfect. I think the stock wheel backspacing is 5.25".
